Ashley Waclawiak is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas and has been working with individuals and families across the life span for the last twenty years.  She received a Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Science in Social Work with clinical concentration, both from The University of Texas at Austin.  Ashley obtained her clinical license in 2008 and is one of the select few mental health clinicians in Texas trained and credentialed in both perinatal mental health and play therapy.

    Ashley’s experience stems from her practice in a variety of settings as a NICU and hospital perinatal social worker, outpatient hospice and inpatient psychiatric therapist.  She has also worked as a school based clinician and has been in private practice for the last four years specializing in treatment of women and children.

    Ashley offers particular knowledge in the area of parenting and positive childhood development.  She blends her background and training as a Registered Play Therapist and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional to bring light to the role of attunement and the power of the relationship in treating the parent-child dyad.  This approach provides positive outcomes for the entire family unit.

      Ashley also has advanced clinical training in reproductive psychology and enjoys walking alongside and assisting individuals and couples navigating their journey to parenthood who are utilizing assisted reproductive technology and third party reproduction.  Ashley's expertise in infertility, maternal mental health and helping families with children who have chronic illness and/or disability stems from a unique combination of both personal and professional experience.
